Decisive, knowledge driven decision-making skills are vital to living a full life. When you allow someone else to make decisions for you, you miss the opportunity to be a creator in your own life. Knowing how to make up your mind and then taking action ends the personal chaos and allows you to take control.
If you find you have difficulty making decisions consider the following:
- The only way to make change happen in your life is to make a decision.
- You will never know what you are made of and what you are capable of if you don’t make the decision to know.
- Making up your mind should not make your life stop, it should move your life forward.
Worrying about whether you will make a mistake when you make a decision can drive many people into a tailspin. The deciding factor should be the outcome you wish to achieve. Does the decision feed it or block it? Does the decision ultimately feed life or suppress life?
Sometimes a decision is not so obvious and this is when your personal intent must be examined. REASON and ORDER and the ability to DISCERN and DISCRIMINATE are vital in these moments. Use the cards 4, 5, and 6 (The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers) to assist you and see yourself as the CHARIOT driver, one who knows the right use of limitation (also seen as containment) to establish harmony.
Examples: Think about water and how easily it can be directed. Beavers do this all the time using debris to redirect the water. Humans do this by building concrete structures to hold and redirect water. Humans can do this with energy as well.
Think of your decision-making process as intent in action.
