Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? - Weekly Tarot Horoscopes

March 26 - April 1

I just caught the last minutes of the new hit show “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?” The question posed to the adult was “What continent that starts with an A is also a country?” The adult gave up the chance to double her money (she had $300,000 already) because she could not answer the question. How sad is that? It was a simple geography question. And then it occurred to me - most of us really believe that once we exit the school system everything we learned is unnecessary to retain and we don’t need to learn anything new nor do we need to pay attention to what goes on in the world.

In defense of the adult on the show, it would be really nerve racking to be on a game show and have to say “I’m NOT smarter than a fifth grader” when you can’t answer a question. Thus the beauty of this show - kids are fearless, if given the right nest to thrive in they want to learn as much as they can, are always looking for more and are pleased to let you know what they have discovered. Maybe this show is an opportunity to stir our adult population into a dictionary carrying, history reading and geographically sharp group thus generating a more original and thought provoking society. Well...it was just a thought.

The 6 of cups is all about the inner child and the need to keep creative thought alive in your life. In doing so it spills over into the lives of others keeping hope and joy alive and thriving. Think about getting back in touch with your 5th grader. What was it that you loved to do, loved to read, loved to play or sing? Remembering can fill in the blanks as you traverse adulthood and geography questions.

Take a look at the cool jewelry at the left of this blog – lots of Celtic clan, animal fetish and a few goth oriented silver rings and charms available through this merchant. And no, I don’t get anything for mentioning them. I just think it’s cool stuff. And it’s all made right here in Albuquerque.
